About the bar
mediajaw.bar is a free home bartender. Tell it what's on your shelf and it tells you what you can pour tonight.
Why we built it
Everybody has a cabinet with half a bottle of this and a little of that, and nobody knows what to make with it. Recipe sites make you search drink by drink. We flipped it around: you start with what you already have, and the mixer does the searching.
What's behind the bar
- A shelf of more than 100 bottles and mixers, from everyday vodka and limes to Chartreuse, falernum and Topo Chico.
- A recipe book of classic cocktails covering sours, highballs, tiki drinks, spritzes, stirred classics, hot drinks and shots.
- Smart swaps. If a recipe works with more than one bottle, like any orange liqueur in a Margarita, the mixer counts whichever one you have.
- "One bottle away", a built-in shopping list of drinks you could make with just one more ingredient.
- Illustrated pours. Every drink is drawn in its correct glass with the right color, ice, bubbles and garnish, so you know what you're aiming for.
Who we are
mediajaw.bar is made by Mediajaw, a web design, hosting, email and print company in San Angelo, Texas. We build websites for local businesses, and every so often we build something free just for fun. This is one of those.
